Whether you don’t like the look or feel of glasses or simply want to be able to exercise without wearing them, you might be an excellent candidate for contact lenses!
As an independently owned office, we are proud to be able to offer contact lens evaluations and lens supplies at affordable rates! Contact lenses require additional testing because they are true medical devices that require professional fitting and routine follow-up to ensure your eyes are responding well to the lens material, curvature, solution, and replacement regimen.
At your contact lens evaluation, our doctors will gather information about your goals with lens wear, lifestyle, visual needs and even your budget. They will perform a few non-invasive tests to measure the curvature of your cornea (the front surface of your eye), your ocular health (to check for any conditions that may contraindicate the use of certain types of lenses), and your most current glasses prescription.
All of this information will then be utilized to determine if you are a good candidate for contact lens wear, and if so, for what type of lens you may be best suited. Our office is fully stocked with thousands of contact trial lenses from various brands, and if we need a more specific prescription, we can order trial lenses directly from the manufacturers, free of charge.
Whether you’re looking for colored contacts to wear for fun or multifocal contacts or need specialty lenses for a more complex prescription, rest assured that our doctors will take as much time as necessary to ensure you are wearing the healthiest, most convenient, and most comfortable lenses available in your prescription for your particular needs! This is important not only for your comfort, but for your long-term ocular health!
If you have been previously told that your prescription is not available in contacts or if you have discontinued lens wear due to poor comfort or vision, you still may be a good candidate! The contact lens industry is always expanding, with upgraded materials and extended parameters that may not have been available in years past, making contact lens wear possible for more patients each year!
If you are interested in contact lenses, call, text or email us to schedule an appointment! If you have never worn contacts before, no worries! Our evaluations also include thorough training for new wearers, as well as any trial lenses and follow-up appointments necessary to finalize your prescription.
